PERFECT POOLS – POOL MAINTENANCE SERVICE AGREEMENT


1. SERVICE OPTIONS

Perfect Pools offers the following maintenance service plans:

  • Platinum Weekly Service

  • Gold Weekly Service

  • Bronze Fortnightly (Bi-Weekly) Service

All services operate on a scheduled appointment basis for an agreed service day.

Should there be no access to the property on the scheduled service day, a missed visit / call-out fee of R185.00 will be levied.

Any additional services outside the agreed maintenance schedule will be quoted and charged separately.


2. CONTRACT TERM & MINIMUM SERVICE PERIOD

Platinum Service

  • The Platinum Agreement is a Calendar Year Agreement.

  • Minimum service period: 12 consecutive months.

  • Should the agreement be cancelled within the first 12 months, an early cancellation fee equal to 60% of the remaining contract balance will apply.

  • After completion of the first 12 months, the agreement continues month-to-month.

  • After the first year, NO cancellation notice is required and no cancellation penalty applies.


Gold & Bronze (Weekly / Fortnightly) Services

  • Minimum service period: 6 consecutive months.

  • The agreement continues thereafter month-to-month.

Weekly / Fortnightly Cancellation:

  • A 30-day written notice is required to cancel after the minimum service period has been completed.


3. PERFECT POOLS RIGHT OF TERMINATION

Perfect Pools reserves the right to terminate this agreement with immediate effect should the client fail to adhere to any terms and conditions contained herein, including but not limited to:

  • Non-payment of accounts

  • Denial of access to the pool

  • Failure to operate the pool pump as required

  • Use of groundwater contrary to this agreement

  • Any action that prevents Perfect Pools from performing proper maintenance

In such cases, any outstanding amounts remain payable in full.


4. SERVICE SCOPE

At each scheduled visit Perfect Pools will:

  • Brush pool walls and floor

  • Empty skimmer and pump baskets

  • Backwash and rinse filters as required

  • Test pool water chemistry

  • Add appropriate chemicals to rectify water balance

  • Inspect equipment operation

  • Clean salt-water chlorinator cells (where installed)

  • Correct salt levels if required


5. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The pool must be clean at the start of the maintenance period.

  • The water level remains the client’s responsibility unless agreed in writing.

  • The client must maintain correct water level at all times.

  • Safe and unobstructed access to the pool must be provided on service days.


6. PUMP OPERATING REQUIREMENTS

For correct filtration and sanitation, the pool pump must be operated daily:

  • Summer: Minimum 8 hours per day

  • Winter: Minimum 6 hours per day

Failure to comply may result in water quality deterioration, for which Perfect Pools cannot be held liable.


7. WATER SUPPLY & GROUNDWATER

  • This agreement is based on municipal water supply only.

  • Groundwater, borehole or well-point water is not covered.

  • If groundwater is used, additional treatment and balancing chemicals will be required at extra cost, based on water analysis.


8. CHEMICALS & FAIR USAGE (PLATINUM SERVICE)

Where “chemicals included” applies, it is subject to a Fair Usage Policy, based on:

  • Pool size below 50,000 litres

  • Industry standard dosing guidelines

Fair Usage Includes:

Chlorine

  • 1 × Chlorine floater per month
    or

  • 1 × Chlorine tablet per week

Salt Systems

  • Up to 4 bags of salt every 3 months, if required

Balancing Chemicals (per month if required)

  • Up to 2 kg Alkalinity Increaser

  • Up to 1 bag pH Increaser or Pool Acid

Excluded:

  • Metal treatments

  • Calcium treatments

  • Shock treatments beyond normal maintenance dosing

  • Unusual water balance outside industry norms

  • Water contamination from external sources

Excluded chemicals are quoted and charged separately.

(Gold and Bronze services exclude chemicals unless otherwise stated.)


9. FORTNIGHTLY SERVICE DISCLAIMER

For Fortnightly (Bi-Weekly) Service:

  • The client must check and maintain the pool during weeks Perfect Pools is not in attendance.

  • Perfect Pools cannot be held responsible for pool conditions arising between visits.


10. GREEN POOL GUARANTEE (PLATINUM SERVICE ONLY)

Perfect Pools will rectify a green pool at no additional cost if the pool turns green due to Perfect Pools failing to perform a scheduled service.

This guarantee does not apply where conditions arise from:

  • No access to property

  • Pump not operated as required

  • Change of water supply or groundwater use

  • Severe weather

  • Heavy bather load

  • Animals or environmental contamination


11. INVOICING & PAYMENT TERMS

  • Clients are invoiced monthly for maintenance services.

  • Additional repairs, services and materials are C.O.D.

  • Overdue accounts attract interest at prime rate from the 7th day of the following month.

  • Perfect Pools may suspend or terminate services until arrears are settled.

  • The client agrees to pay legal or collection costs incurred.


12. LIABILITY & NOTIFICATION

  • Clients must notify Perfect Pools in writing within 24 hours of any faults or concerns.

  • While diligent care is taken, Perfect Pools shall not be liable for loss or damage caused by:

    • Maintenance activities

    • Equipment or structural failures

    • External or environmental factors


13. CREDIT APPROVAL

This agreement is subject to credit verification, and a deposit may be required.


14. GENERAL

  • Maintenance rates may be reviewed periodically.

  • Amendments must be agreed in writing by both parties.


15. ACCEPTANCE

By accepting service, the client confirms understanding and acceptance of these terms.
